Greeetings! Good question, though it has a fairly simple answer: the Japanese version makes clear that although the fruit is also referred to as the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, it is described that Nika was a warrior whose very skin was made of rubber. So it's not that Luffy's powers let him stretch like a cartoon specifically, but that his body has always been made of rubber, because in its original depictions Nika was a rubeing made of rubber. This is why Luffy was immune to Enel's lighting, because he's still always been made of rubber!
Greetings Artur ! Small question that I was wondering about ever since gear 5 was revealed. How was Luffy immune to Enel's lightning when it was later revealed that he in fact does not have a rubber fruit but rather a mythical Zoan fruit of The sun god Nika. I hope you clarify it for me, thanks.
