I'm so sorry this page has been so dry this year.
This video has been in the works for a long time and covers a number of topics I've been scared to talk about. My continued determination to stay away from publishers, the mental stress of working on a single title by yourself for four years that I am deep in the effects of, and how I am trying to cope and improve amidst a lot of indecision and difficulty.
It's not a video I can summarize very well into text, but it is also a bit lengthily of a watch. I'm looking for input on some of the subjects I've been afraid to talk about these past six months, and hope this sparks some fruitful conversations here on Patreon and within the rest of our community as well.
At the end of the day, I'm healthy, happy, and very glad to still be here, working on my passion, and a big part of that is in thanks to my supporters here on Patreon. I sincerely hope the hot weather and pandemic and all of the crazy in the world is not affecting anyone too seriously in our community. No, very different. It looks like Civ6, or at least that's the visual goal, but each tile is something more like 1km instead of 50-100km like in Civ. Different areas are infested with different types of monsters that will be a nuisance until you can track down their base and deal with them. But you need to gather resources, unlock technology, setup protection, etc., as you push through the world towards bigger baddies and better resources. So kind of a somewhat zoomed in PvE Civ6, but not zoomed in so far as to control individual units/building placement.
