I already told the ladies in a message last year that I no longer needed the rewards to support them. I know how hard it must be to keep up with the rewards and it probably ate up all their free time when home and took time away from family and friends that don't tour with them. Needless to say I haven't gotten any rewards and that is completely fine. We know you ladies love the support but for me I'm happier knowing you can enjoy your time off rather than having you write out thousands of songs and eventually getting arthritis in your hands which will hurt your playing and creation of great music. The music is plenty of thanks for me.

Yeah so I get it I am also excited about this live chat feature. Hi Jeff, then here is another but very technical solution and a web designer is asked for assistance: Create individual handwritten letter Font type. I know it from Bruce Springsteen, where his handwritten letters and numbers exist as a Font type. So you can write everything on your keyboard and it looks like originally handwritten by the respective person. By doing so, of course, these Font types must not be available for everybody to download.

Michael, yes, it would be one time work to do that. But Dany said in the post that they are already months behind on the lyrics. How long would it take them to write lyrics individually for all, let's say 60 recorded songs in their catalog? It would take a lot longer than it seems

A couple of hundred Patreons in 2018 have become several thousand now. Add in a vastly increased touring schedule and band workload….! Over the years rewards have come, some have gone, and others have changed. Vlogs evolved into Aftershow Movies. Personal Acoustic songs went, but Surprise Lives came. Album Credits were dropped but Monthly Livechats started. Personal Song Tutorials evolved into Masterclasses. Personal Video Calls passed while TW & Friends started. Birthday Videos moved up a tier, while (guest) Masterclasses moved down one. Handwritten Lyrics have had a very good innings. I’m amazed they still exist at all. Thank you for trying creative new ways to keep us fed and keep you sane! P.S. Please ask one of your Team to record/download and preserve all of the Monthly Livechats, Surprise Lives and Masterclasses before you finally leave Crowdcast. They are a fantastic treasure trove detailing your history as a band and your unique connection to the fans.

I fully agree with the decision to scale back the handwritten lyrics writing. With the Patreon membership getting so large - even at the higher levels - it was inevitable. Thank you all so much for keeping that time consuming reward for so long - way longer than any of us could have ever reasonably expected. I think it might be kind of cool if they pre-printed out the songs in a script type font and left the chorus or bridge, or something blank, so they would only have to write a few lines to fill those out and maybe add some doodles or some such. Dany got creative with the “WOOOAH! WOOOAH! Oh, Oh, Oh …” part for the ending of Martirio on mine, it was very cool!

I think a lot of workload might be attributed to people ramping up their tier for 3 months, qualifying, then going back down for 9 months etc. I know they appreciate every single Patreon, regardless of the Tier, however, it is a Tier based program.

Ironically in ’23, FM songs were bland to me. I sought new sounds and found a tune, no name attached, no DJ news. I listened and was never told, Who or where I could behold, the artist, band, my interest piqued, my mission was to find and seek. I lay in bed one night to view MTV – I never knew, that soon my answer would be found, when there, on stage, three girls would sound, the tune that I’d been searching for; The Warning came – and gave me MORE. The mystery of the sound was solved, and now my playlist would evolve, it’s now a one-band rabbit-hole, no way out – it’s in my soul. I'm with everyone else--the handwritten lyrics, while awesome, must be a nightmare. I'd gladly give up lyrics to support the band and take some load off you. If you're looking for something that doesn't require you to do anything, I'd love it if other tiers could get access to soundcheck tickets for the patron and a friend. I can't swing $200/month to leave my friend behind, but the experience of front row at a concert is an amazing experience. Even a drawing, like Iron Maiden's "First To The Barrier" would be a great perk. Anything that's access, without making work for you, would be fantastic.

The change concerning the handwritten lyrics is completely understandable. With the growing number of Patreons, I asked myself for quite some time how you find the time to do them. A good medium ground solution could be to do full lyrics for the upper tiers and only at the 12 month annual renewal and keep the partial lyrics for the 50 dollar tier with no re-up on the renewal. That allows a lot of people to still get something while providing the upper tiers with the more premium offer and reward for staying on annually.

My vote is no on this one. At that point it is a print and not a hand written lyric. Those are two very different things.

I'm happy to hear you decided to do something about the handwritten lyrics. In my opinion, you should really replace all the rewards that scale the work requirements with how big your Patreon becomes, because once you reach a certain size it won't be sustainable. For example, you can have a live chat with 20 people or 2,000 people, it's the same amount of work, at least in terms of time investment. Handwriting 20 lyrics per month and 2,000 lyrics, on the other hand, is literally 100 times more work. Take good care of yourselves, that's the best reward 🤞

I have never requested lyrics or the other items since I joined the Artist level a couple of years ago - I am happy just to have earlier access to videos, tickets, and just support my favorite band. One suggestion regarding the handwritten lyrics: perhaps just send an autographed photocopy instead of rewriting them for every request. I personally would be just as happy with that. 😎

I think they made the right choice going forward. It has to be handwritten. A copy is just a copy. Depending on the song and who is requested to write it; some would get original. Others copies. Same for everyone to create a good atmosphere. In my world, even reducing it to one sentence would feel more unique and special than a copy ever would.

Have you considered giving people an option to pick instead of a handwritten lyric? It could be something special and unique, but something that does not require a lot of time to prepare by you guys. You should make it something that cannot be purchased in the store so that it is only available in place of the lyrics. Itay not entirely replace the handwritten lyrics, but if it could even cut the requests in half, it would be helpful.

I'm sad the full handwritten lyrics are going away before I had a chance to get one, but this compromise might actually be better. We still get handwritten lyrics but now they're also Dany, Pau or Ale's favourite lyrics from a song. That's more special. Plus, much quicker to do! Dany, why not just do copies of the lyrics with a big signature from one of the band mates. We are happy with signed cds, posters, and albums. Why not print up a whole bunch of lyrics from each song then all you ladies have to do is sign them. I say put it up for a vote.
