Hello everyone and welcome to the newcomers!
That's it, we've checked all the feedback we've gotten lately. After sorting them out (especially those that were due to bugs), we made a list of the different reworks needed to improve Sunrise.
But before we show you these solutions or do more in-depth work on some of them, we need your opinion so we know how to prioritize them.
We are going to present you the 7 points that don't work, take the time to read them before voting so that you have the maximum amount of information on hand to make the vote as useful as possible.
Dialogue sound effects
- In order to give rhythm to the dialogues, we use small sounds for surprise, anger... Later we'd like to have partial voice acting (complete if the project works well) but in the meantime we use this system, do you find it unpleasant? Too present?
Navigation
- In order to avoid an intrusive interface as much as possible, we have chosen not to display any element on the screen to move from one place to another. Several players have found it difficult to know where to go, is this your case?
Battle System
The Battle system is a big point as it's one of the main features of the game (along with the investigation and the upcoming dating system). Sunrise is indeed an adult game, but we want it to have a real game aspect, so it's not planned to remove it to just have a string of nsfw content. But we would like to improve it to be as pleasant and challenging as possible.
- In order to give the player the time to see and understand everything that happens during a fight, we have left some waiting times. It seems that this slows down fights too much. Would you like faster battles?
- Episode 4 has more fights than all the other episodes combined. The goal was to allow the player to feel an evolution by fighting minions A (the tall one) and C (the blonde one) twice, before and after getting the locker room bonus. It seems to have made the episode unpleasant by imposing too many fights, did you have this impression?
- At the beginning of the game, your character is "weak", it's intentional because he will progress. Trust us that your path in Sunrise and Onyx will force you to push yourself to the limit in order to defeat overpowered opponents. We've tried to balance the battles in the prologue, but it seems that some of them are still very difficult, did you get that impression?
NSFW Content
- In Sunrise's development, we try to keep a balance in the story between nsfw scene and coherence. We want to set up the characters and your relationship with them so that you can really get involved in their story and enjoy real, interesting and varied romances with the girls, rather than jumping from one sex scene to the next. Version 0.4.1 will bring more nsfw content but are you satisfied with the way the nsfw content is integrated for now?
Homogeneity
- By playing all the episodes in a row, you can see a difference between the content made at the beginning and the one made in episode 4. We know that an update is going to be necessary, do you think it should be done now?

1. I think the battle system is pretty much fine, just needs to be faster/more responsive. 2. I think it's a GOOD idea to have players date and build relationship with the characters to unlock nudity, romance, and sex scenes. There just needs to be a better ratio of Adult Content to Plot. Currently the game is about 95% Plot/Gameplay and only 5% adult content. I think if the images Holly sent you on your phone were more sexual, that would help increase the ratio. Inserting more small sexual content could help in the early chapters. It's not JUST about nudity though, it's also how characters react to it, that's exciting. As the player progresses through the game, I think the ratio of Plot to Adult Content should increase. However, as you said, it shouldn't be just pointlessly jumping from one sex scene to the next, it's about forming relationships and connections to the characters. Players should FEEL excited to get close and intimate with each character.

We're glad you like most of the gameplay! You said there's too many fights, but since you just voted for option 3, does that mean there's too much fighting in the other episodes too?

I like more than a few of the elements that make this feel like a real game. The battles aren't so much difficult as they take non-zero effort to understand, and I feel the same about navigation. They're only difficult by the standards of the many non-game porn games we can find flooding F95. The quantity and quality of the adult aspects will come with time, and I can accept that. The main thing hurting my desire to replay and find all of the adult content(for now) is the time, and the length of the battles is a large part of that.
