The brothers cope differently with their mothers' parenting. Piet isn't the loud type, that's why he has more inner issues to deal with.

Good lord, I'd be seething if somebody talked to me like that. That low-key threatening, passive-aggressive tone makes me want to colour my hair and pick up a stratocaster on Piet's behalf. Super rebellious 16yo Levi makes a lot of sense now.
