EARLY ACCESS // self portrait
🕑 Added 2020-03-27 13:30:48 +0000 UTCI haven’t made one of these in a while!! Here’s a self portrait that doesn’t really nail the resemblance but I’m happy with how the colors and lighting turned out. I usually draw from photo reference, so painting from real life is aways a huge challenge for me. Also, the lighting changed as I was painting so that added an extra level of complexity :’) It was definitely a fun exercise though!
Here's a selfie that I took while I was drawing so you can compare how my eyes interpret things vs. how my iphone lens interprets things :')

thanks! honestly making art is my only real distraction during this time. for the rest i'm just stuck in a cycle of checking news and being overwhelmed. i'm so so grateful for my hobby/passion during this time, it's really keeping me together.
