Can't wait for the next tier! My only suggestion for setting things up is to look at Ethan Beckers discord and see if anything he has in place would work for you. It depends how many people join but I would guess a lot! So you want a discord which can cater to large numbers.

Your patreon is my absolute favorite among the ones I subscribed to. Not only are the tutorials great but I appreciate being able to look at your beautiful art in a more quiet environment than the busy, noisy stream of an instagram feed. The second tier sounds like a fabulous idea too. Tutorial videos are a great help, but for myself, I often don‘t notice my own mistakes when I am especially stuck in my way for something. Another set of eyes can help so much in this regard. In any case, I hope that you have a very lovely december!

hey radka! yes, the existing tier will remain unchanged! the purpose of the discord would be to create a space where the assigmnents can be announced / shared. it will definitely be moderated and I will be posting in it myself too. that's why I want to make sure I have the time for it before I launch it :)

Excited for a Discord benefit in addition to this tier! If the community is as lax as it its here, it'll be a great environment to hone art skills and interact.

Will the existing tier remain unchanged? As for the Discord, I'm always confused when there are lot of topic groups, they seem to be hard to coordinate. Unfortunatelly a lot of artists I follow just create the Discord and then don't mind what is happening there, which is really dissaponting and not very useful for me. I would appreaciate the assignments for sure :)

You might check out Jens Claessens who has a Patreon that incorporates Discord as well as Twitch for live-streaming which could potentially be an additional revenue stream. It would at least be a source of ideas for organizing Discord for a creative. You could see what you think works for you.

hey hali! yes I definitely want to include a feedback video in that tier, although it won't be one-on-one feedback but rather just a random sampling of the artwork that people made for the assignment to discuss common issues. thanks for your kind words about the book! we are finalizing the layout this week, it's very exciting. they will be shipped out in the spring so you should get yours around april :)

I am really looking forward to the new tier!! I know that another artist has done assignment review/critique videos, like Michael Mattesi does his friday force drawing classes as a livestream via youtube each Friday and will do a once or twice monthly review during them (depending on the month). Perhaps for your new tier, if you are reviewing or critiquing others work for our “assignment” that month, you could do something similar? If further individual feedback is asked after that, you may be able to have them message you either directly on discord or here on patreon or via email. Im really excited for the discord benefits myself!! Also i am very excited for the book to be completed. If it is finished as expected around april, it will be here just in time for my birthday and i truly am looking forward to that with all my heart. Thank you again for all you do!

ah, that's so useful! it'll be exclusive to the new tier, yes! the idea is that the base tier (which everyone has now) stays as is, and the new tier has a more interactive element!

oh man I'm super excited for the Discord server! Will the discord server be exclusive to the new tier? Discord has a way of separating Patreon tiers so that people on Tier 1 won't see the channels that's exclusive to Tier 2!

thank you! FB is indeed not the same as it was. I'm kind of ambivalent about keeping that group running, I think I want to shift my focus to the patreon community. We'll see how things develop! But I'm really excited about the prospect of having a discord for my patrons :)
