It really depends on what you feel comfortable with! I think the most important thing is making sure you feel comfortable with something first before you expand into new media and techniques. You want to avoid too much overwhelm initially! I always think sketching with a pencil is a good place to start but I learned so much from working digitally as well. It’s really what feels best to you!

When starting to learn to draw and paint. Is it better to start traditionally or digitally first? I currently have procreate as well as traditional mediums. Thanks!
