EARLY ACESS // naturalis sketches
🕑 Added 2024-04-09 11:44:55 +0000 UTCLast month I hung out with some artist friends and headed to the Naturalis in Leiden to draw animals! Naturalis is a biodiversity center and features lots of taxidermy animals and dinosaur skeletons. We figured this would be a lot easier to draw than our usual zoo sessions, since the animals are not moving all the time like live animals. Unfortunately it was actually quite challenging because the lighting kept changing :’) It was a fun day though! Here are some of the sketch pages I drew on that day.

haha! i mean it is an ostrich, they fluff up their feathers to intimidate and scare away other animals, so in a way it's an accurate reading!

I can't unsee the big buff arms on the bird. I know they wings but all I see is it flexing it's arm muscles XD
