🕑 Added 2025-07-17 08:46:45 +0000 UTCI was playing around with soft painting techniques for the rose painting I posted earlier this week, and trying to figure out a way to make those soft edges of the petals look really eye-catching. I ended up applying bright, saturated color to the edges and was surprised by how well that worked! So for these drawings, I wanted to take that further and play around with the chromatic aberration effect.
I just love creating saturated, eye-popping contours, and I’ve found that adding softness really brings it all together. I also love the glitchy look of chromatic aberration - especially chromatic aberration tattoos that feature simple dark silhouettes with really bright edges. So that’s what inspired these! Hope you like them!

The girl with the bun reminds me a bit of the negative drawing technique where you block in a dark shape and then erase away the lighter parts. I really like the subtle hints of volume.
