Her arm led like a predetermined path to the foot of the pillow. Carefully, Nathan slid down her shoulder. He was nervous. Alice could wake up at any moment and all his efforts would have been for nothing.
With cautious steps, he walked on her arm toward her wrist. Under his feet he could clearly feel Alice's pulse. Unlike him, she seemed deeply relaxed.
