i interpret this one as us looking through laura's memories through the lense of a subway, in a similar fashion to how we look through dale's memories through the lens of an elevator. this is why we're experiencing laura's death not in her house, as all of the other games showed, but in a train station--because it's the easiest way for laura to process her life.
