Hm... Curious, my earlier comment isn't displayed on my end for some reason. Hopefully you can still see it from yours. The following is my rereply: Yeah, that's definitely a point of concern. But considering the current unit consists of two people that once swore to kill two of the others (even if one of them is literally enslaved right now), and one who's still technically married to someone who wants to destroy the MC, I daresay the MC is very good at keeping the peace. So I'm optimistic in looking forward to what the future (and your imagination) holds. Yeah, I totally get it. Time and effort ARE factors. So I totally understand if things that'd be nice end up scrapped. I'm only putting them up as food for thought. Finally, that guy's definitely not a nice person, no argument there. But even apart from my omnipresent ethical concerns, taking it out on him in this way would be thoroughly ...unsatisfying. Like kicking a chained dog. IF I want to bring reckoning to someone, I want it to be thorough. I want to face them squarely, with nothing in between us. I want to bruise their bodies, shatter every last of the pretty illusions they hold, rip their bullshit reasonings apart at every crack and seam they have. And then, when they no longer pose any kind of threat and lie before me battered, broken, and in full understanding of how pathetic they actually are ...I turn away, leaving them with a chance to do better going forward. For if I were to harm them simply because I want to rather than out of necessity, I'd be just like them, and no longer have reason or cause to condemn their actions. That, and I just don't have that in me. Anyway, that's why I feel no desire whatsoever to rub it in Tom's face for now ;-)
