I love this episode. It added a lot to derek and danny (like you said, derek is so ignorant but mainly from stupidity). But yes, Emma is terrible and i never liked her. She was more bearable in the first 3 seasons cause you can excuse your actions from your age, but she never improves. They give her great stories but her character is unbearable and selfish.

This is a very unpopular episode (Reddit has it in the top 5 worst episodes) but I’ve always relatively enjoyed it. Derek was an asshole but he genuinely seemed naïve.
