I think you know I love everything about this ❤️❤️ I think prom would look beautiful with that softness, but I know it would probably also be very distressing to him, particularly if everyone else is suddenly finding it very attractive. The idea that suddenly all the faults that people honestly used to greet with pretty harsh criticism are now met with "it's okay, don't worry about it" - I can see prom being all "yeah, firstly that's patronising. Secondly, I could have used some of this forgiveness earlier." Living for Ignis being very drawn to Prompto for slightly gentler/different reasons than Gladio and Noct, who are probably being insufferably alpha about everything.
