i was also imaging Noctis reaching out to Nyx and asking advice
Saying that their biggest problem is that they cant help but get defensive on Ignis' behalf
because it feels like a slight on his presentation that an omega is needed
And Nyx is like 'wild idea but - leave Ignis at home?? Meet Prompto without him then theres no need to get defensive'
Noct 8D gets defensive because thats excluding him
And Nyx is like 'So, excluding is a bad thing?'

Omg the AUDACITY on Noct to proclaim 'yeah, but Ignis is my mate' like that's somehow different to Prom or makes their attitude towards him okay...I'm glad Nyx is there to metaphorically slap some sense into all of them! It's so interesting seeing Prom and his relationship with Nyx and the boys at different stages! Things are better but they're far from rosy and it's this really great, turbulent phase where Prom has just started to realise that he's not been done justice by basically anyone other than Nyx. And seeing him not only smile but make that affectionate, easy contact with Nyx, who's standing there like one of those 'long-suffering' boyfriends who secretly loves having their partner hang off them and wheedle for quality time...it's so beautiful! I feel like even if Prom and Nyx don't end up a couple (I'm so torn, I legit want it but also want him to take his place in the group with the boys), he and Prom are always going to have a special bond, perhaps one that even mates can't quite match in the same way. And honestly, I think Noct and co would struggle with that for a long time, even when their relationship with Prom is good. And Nyx would have to periodically remind them that for a long time, Prom had literally nobody in his corner after he'd been taken away from the (albeit crappy) life he knew and dumped into a strange new one with people who actively went out of their way to alienate him. And yeah, Noct does have a point about Ignis, but I feel like either Nyx or maybe even Prom might point out that Ignis is not only an established member of the pack that excluded Prompto for so long, he's also an established member of the royal family and this is his home. Prompto had none of that so the boys will need to put that defensiveness away because I feel like Nyx is gonna point out that they can't all be defensive of each other and also all fall into jealous conniptions every time Prompto looks to Nyx for affection.
