we didn't really get to the bonfire "super quick" timeline wise. if you notice, there's been a countown notice every episode. it pops up on the screen at the beginning of each episode (3 weeks earlier, 2 weeks earlier, 1 week earlier, etc). the season didn't start that far from the bonfire anyway, and each episode we've gotten progressively closer to the big day.
