Dan is credited as the creator because he created the original show and characters. He didn't have anything to do with the revival.

I actually really like this series! So many reboots feel so forced but this one manages to pull off that “we’re adults now!” thing without being too cringy. P.S. Dan Schneider isn’t involved, I think they just have to have him in the credits since he created the concept/characters
