Gopard

I mean we already know one "easy way" she "just" needs to learn how we (aka the WE/ViaTERRIANS... XD) build simple combustion engines... she just needs to learn to get someone to built her tempered stainless steelrockets with a combustion engine and then she can reach the moon ofc all of that would need to be archieved BEFORE it starts to fall and ideally without any of the other prophets realizing... Lmao so yeah I think she will have to find another way for now. The problem is Mirian NEEDS to get to the Moon fucking YESTERDAY she really finally needs to get that armor made so she can then finally talk to the others about relicarium and doesn't need to be too afraid of someone stealing either the moons Bounty or the Relicarium needed to make her Leyline regulator Armor (which also doubles as an insanely useful and powerful piece of equipment so I guarantee you that now after Mirian hid so much critical information from everyone the other Prophets would NOT agree just "like that" for her to get such a thin!)

Pete Magnuson

She's already done the some of that for utility spells to save space iirc, but keeps some combat spells written in full for speed. When facing down an angry leviathan you might not have time to flip between pages channeling the letters you need

Mirian has actually commented on this idea before, that the loops have a fixed amount of time they can operate for before they naturally end.

Mr NerfGun

My theory is that the Ominian or There creations was always helping to keep the Apocalypse from coming. So as Prophets relinquish their anchors, They can delay it more.

Evgenii Grishin

Thank you for chapter! Honestly I don't understand where story is going. The possibilities are endless and it's very interesting. I'm a bit frustrated about the thing that removing anchors from prophet prolonging the loop. Like.. why? Its shouldn't conflict with laylines, right? Like relocating laylines power to new equilibrium throug gates elongate loop and also returning anchor. Why so? Hope we will know some day

Mr NerfGun

The Divir moon is not held aloft because it is non-magical. But because, apparently, it emits an anti-magic field or shell. Null is not negative.

Michael Vonica

Mirian did find some glyph and rune sequences she thought were for a magic suppression field back before Ibrahim showed up in Torrviol. I wonder if she can get anything from them, now that she is investigating further in that direction.

A.Irsigler

It is interesting that Enteria is apparently emitting a constant magic field which pushes all things non-magical away. Like Divir. If magic is what the humans found on Enteria, then it is likely that that same magic is what kept humans save from the all consuming cosmic fire/the war in heaven or whatever it was that killed off the precursor civilisation. Hence probably why there are only ruins left on the other moon (which might just be the main planet and enteria is a moon but w/e). Enteria (*this place*) might be the last save haven from whatever the humans fled across the stars from. And ofc human hubris threatens it via this ecological analogy of burning fossil fuels... I am curious which place Mirian will have in that future? The iron fisted Tyrant who keeps humans worst impulses in line? A guardian/hidden hand?

Signspace

I feel like it wouldn't work out great for them even if they unified, she is the only one of them that knows how to remove a prophet from the loops, I feel like the second she does it to one of them, the rest would probably fall back in line. They also stand almost no chance against her in a fight, especially if she gets the staff.

Mr NerfGun

Are you talking about the unknown statue in the labyrinth? If so, aren't you basing this question on a bit too many assumptions?

Josiah

Having to rewrite the glyphs might be a good thing now that she's trying to speak and think in glyphs and runes. She can write it more like a dictionary or something than a grimoire. Might save some room to just write every glyph once or something instead of repeating them throughout spells.

SlickMongoose

Some crazy dervish form maybe.

Mr NerfGun

Well, given that barrier, it is unlikely the other Prophets will be able to enter the Mausoleum before her.

SlickMongoose

It reminds me of all the antimagic in the labyrinth. It would feel very poetic if Mirian had to reach the deepest depths to work out how to get to the moon.

Alexander Dupree

I like her notes at the bottom! One thing that I’ve been thinking about is what are the needle things stabbing through her god statue. O’s are for the prophets but who or what is she binding to herself?

YarrowFlowers

I just had a thought, we think that the last prophet sacrificed himself and yet failed to fully prevent arcane engines from being invented and we also have this depiction of the time loops as a burning tree where the fire grows as the loops pass. What if the loops just end at some point? When the fire has burned the last branch of the time-tree. We know the Elder Gods aren’t all-powerful, what if the loops are just a spell that will eventually burn through its mana?

Amadhe

Wow, now that’s a twist

YarrowFlowers

I feel like Mirian is going to get her hands on that superstaff that’s on Divir and then immediately Liuan will use that against her politically and it will start a Relicarum arms race between the prophets that will end up unifying them all against Mirian because she’s so individually powerful. Also I worry that Scebur might do some horrifying necromancy to our tree friend for any number of reasons.

KooZnack

Thanks for the chapter!
