I know how much you love creative uses of filters in spicing up animation (JoJo, God of High School).... you should DEFINITELY watch the seasonal anime Jujutsu Kaisen. The studio is MAPPA, whose animation you really admired in GoHS, and they really go all out with the animation. It's been one of the top hits this season, and it takes inspiration from series like Bleach and Yu Yu Hakusho, among others. I think you would absolutely love it.

i think you should start from 6 and go through 7 and 8 then go back for 1-5 because you would just be going to the parts people have seen you watch and i think you getting a break from 1-5 will make you enjoy it more when you go back to them

the jojo sagas are more or less part 1,2,3 then 4,5,6 then 7,8 they could be organized in numerous ways but that feels like the closest relative style and direction.

Also personally I want you to go right into part 6 and then go back to part 1 onwards, THEN go onto part 7 and 8 as I wont spoil but they are kinda separate in a way.

I think finishing part 6 and then jumping back to 1 is perfectly fine. 6 is more connected to jojo part1-5 as a whole. It's also a good warm up pre-part 7 manga.
