I prefer the 1999 for the exam arc especially for this episode because they did Leorio dirty. In the previous one more happens with the shapeshifting creatures that make Leorio a little more of a badass.

Just like many fandoms, it is impossible not to have the "toxic" group. There's as many good fans as there are bad fans. For example, they made a Spanish dub of One Piece on the release of One Piece in Netflix from Mexico, and as Spanish speaker it is not bad at all, yet their fans roasted the people who worked on making that dub, very ungrateful fans.

Jojo is like a powerful storm, but HxH is a different kind of greatness. The power system is crazier and more complex than stand. Togashi the mangaka plays it on another level. It is mind-blowing how he managed to build so many brilliant and creative ideas on it. As a HxH fan, I just hope that the manga will have an ending... while I'm still alive.

Love JJBA, but HxH is on another level. While I have the unpopular opinion of thinking the manga wipes the floor with the anime (sorry guys), regardless of which version you experience the writing is so good. Like, Golden Wind, Steel Ball Run and Jojolion have some solid-ass writing, but HxH is beyond them in terms of themes and characterization and just storytelling in general. Jojo looks nicer, and probably has the better fights (Nen > Stands, but Araki's made cooler Stands than Togashi has Nen abilities), but that's about it.

Because you won't watch it: The 1999 version is more cruel with the failed quiz candidate. His fate there: He runs into a trap and is attacked by monsters. The 2011 version is more true to the manga in this case so we don't know what happened with him.

HxH has some die-hard fans that hurt its reputation with their behaviour – some reactors even ended their reaction because of them. I really don't like a few aspects of HxH but it has very good arcs, well-thought fights and some fantastic characters.

Theres still an ending to the show, theres just no ending to the manga yet. The show ends earlier than where the manga is at but at a fitting place to end.
