I told ya you'd warm up to Rohan! :D The character development for ALL recurring characters in this show is crazy. In Part 3 we had like, two enemy stand users that became allies (Kakyoin and Polnareff), except they were the subject to mind control, essentially. In Part 4, we have multiple enemy stand users not being mind control, but genuinely were misguided and going about things in a shitty way, and then they learned from their mistakes and became friends of our mc's. Definitely a nice touch.

Yeah when it comes to Josuke turning him into a book, think back to what he did to make the Angelo Rock. He can fix things incompletely so he broke both Angelo and the rock to fix them incorrectly together thus fusing them. He did the same with the Enigma user and a book.

The manga tells each arc separately, but the anime had them overlap to show that all of these arcs are taking place on the same day
