I've never heard people compare this to solo leveling before, but I've heard people compare it to Tower of God, which makes sense because of all the tests and games.

You'll see that HxH focuses more on the characters, and then when action moments come they're amazing, even if a fight hasn't too much action the anime manages to still awe you, because it twists the situation on a way you didn't expect.

Normally I dont. Its not really set like a normal arc. All it is a wrap up of events that happened from the Chimera Ant Arc. Everything that happens is directly driven from it. Thats not to say I didn't enjoy it but that's my thought on the subject.

Do you not count the Election arc as a "big" arc? It's only 12 episodes I guess, but that's by no means a "mini" arc or anything.

Trust me, each arc gets better and better and better. The last big arc that has been animated (second to last overall) is widely considered to be one of the best arcs in anime.

I didn't run into any issues at all with the video by the way. It didn't necessarily appear higher quality for me per se. I couldn't tell at least. But it never paused to buffer, like it did on the other player you were using before, so that is huge imo. At least for this video, so far so good.

This is what happens when a top tier manga series meets a top tier animation studio (Madhouse). This show is excellent, it only gets better as it goes on, and it subverts expectations at nearly every turn.

The reason the slow down at times is better is because of the things you mentioned plus I think it makes the hype moments more impactful. In other words you don’t get hype burnout.

The comparison to Solo leveling doesn't really start until the later parts of Hunter x Hunter. Even then it's just a small thing, not really anything essential to the series.

I think the reason why you like those "slow moments" it´s because you like the characters, and its something that in HXH stands out, for me thats one of the best that this anime has to offer, character development. That said, if you dont like the character and they suddenly show you their emotions, backstory or interactions, of course you will think that is boring, and maybe that happened before to you watching another anime.

Well. I have to say. I LOVE Illumi. Especially Illumi and Hisoka duo. They are weird and sometimes creepy but also soo lovable. :) Shame they don't have that much time together. But I also love the whole Zoldyck family. I wished they did a whole spinoff series with just them, and now you will meet some of them. X)

Except episode 13 that you saw episode 26 is the only other filler episode of Hunter x Hunter. Just wanted to let you know
