I also think it really starts from ep. 20 to get good but I would never say that everything before is bad. Just in seeing everything after ep. 20 is sooo inase cool.

So about your question regarding where the anime ends and the manga picks up, episode 170 basically ends partially through ch 270. So about at the end of Volume 27. I say partially because there is a reveal at the end of the chapter I’m guessing/hoping they want to save for the movie. I would just say start at ch 270 if you just want to pick up where the anime left off.
