I believe Matt and Ben won an Oscar for best original screenplay. It certainly has two of the best monologues written/performed for modern film (especially Robin's on the bench) in my opinion.

I adore this film. Not sure if you spotted at the beginning that it was written by Matt Damon & Ben Affleck. Their first feature film that they wrote when Matt (whose script it was originally) when they were 24 & 22 respectively. It's incredible as it's perhaps one of the best written films in terms of dialogue, certainly that I've had the pleasure of watching. As good as the performances of Robin, Matt & Ben are in particular, I think Minnie Driver's Skylar is maybe my favourite from the film, and perhaps my favourite performance from a female lead. She feels so real and natural in every scene. I'd say there's different types of sad movies. There's emotional movies and there's harrowing movies. An emotional movie might be Green Mile A harrowing movie might be Schindler's List Both are top top films that will probably take time to recover from after lol
