If my memory serves, Crocodile only hurt Luffy with his hook (which is like a blade, it's pointy and sharp) and his sand attacks. He never even used normal attacks like punches. I'm not saying he didn't know Haki, just that we never saw him use it

Just joined and I'm watching this reaction. Haki has always been there kinda like Nen in Hunter x Hunter during the hunter exam. The audience is unaware but it's still there. I'm pretty positive Luffy was getting hurt bad by Crocodile because he was using haki too.

Oda really does an incredible job on his characters. They are not all saints and sinners, but very flawed characters. They may seem unredeemable at first, but then you get to know how they came to be and it makes the picture click. It by no means is always meant to justify everything they do, but gives you a lense to at least understand and empathize with them.

Hachi isn't a slave if he were then a simple trait like hateful toward human would be off the roof, everyone in the Sun pirate which all of the member are a fishman embed with the sun mark so you can't tell who's the former slave, that's the point. Food for thought. After Luffy bows down to thank Boa for helping the girls, someone in the audience remarks on how humble he is despite his enormous will power. If you remember all the way back in Drum island, the one who taught him to be humble was Vivi. So I always thought that these two scenes were connected in some way and really goes to show how much Luffy ha grown over the past few months that he was sailing on the Grandline.

Echoing all the comments saying to watch 418-421. In the manga, each of the stories in those episodes only took 2-4 pages each or so, meaning that in total all four of those episodes cover roughly the equivalent of one chapter in the manga. The anime greatly expands on them as a way to help pad things out so that they don't catch up to the manga. That's what's meant by "anime canon". The same thing applies to 453 - 456, which were originally cover stories in the manga similar to Buggy's mini-arc back in East Blue. You asked if Haki could heal poison. The short answer is no. If you go back and watch that part again, Luffy was inhaling the gas given off by the poison that Marigold was spitting out at him. Then, when she smacked him off the side of the arena, he coughed it up. It's a very light shade of purple, though, and you were wincing in sympathy pain at the time so I can understand how you missed it. Just wanted to make sure you didn't accidentally misinterpret how Haki works.

Just wanted to echo the sentiment that you should watch episodes 418-421, if you're not already passed that point. Those episodes are a mix of canon manga content and cover pages that were extended to full episodes, hence "anime canon". Plus, those episodes answer questions you've been asking since the end of Sabaody so you definitely don't want to miss them.

Just to provide context with no spoilers, Luffy isn't using haki during his fight here . He can't really use it like the sister are because he doesn't understand it yet. He only used haki in 413 when he knocked the spectators out but that was a complete accident. Haki can do a bunch of different stuff but unless Luffy actively trains in how to use it, then he can't use it during combat. Right now it's more like a shock wave that goes off when Luffy gets mad, and not an actual power up.

not a spoiler just an observation: At 34:44 Boa runs besides a silhouette with a scary looking face shown at 34:52, he has a big resemblance of the former slave Jan Beart who got freed by Trafalgar Law in the Sabaody Archipelago and then joined their crew. Not sure if that is true but it makes sense to me that a big gorilla like him has a harder time escaping than boa and her sisters and maybe decided to stay behind on purpose because he saw no means of escape despite the whole palace being on fire. The wiki however associates this silhouette to Fisher Tiger, who is mentioned in the dialogue.

Oh and Ruff, i think you missed the part about why Hachi has the Sun mark on his forehead. The sisters say that the mark was given irrespective of the person being a slave or not to not differentiate between a slave and a non slave in the Sun Pirates crew.

I have never wanted anyone dead more than I do those pieces of shit! And Hancock is my favorite Warlord out of all of them because I was so emotionally invested in her backstory. Your doing 2 episodes for this video is fine. In fact it might be best if you were to do the next 3 videos at 2 episodes apiece. Of course you could go back to 3 episodes starting next video, but it would go smoother the way I suggested. Then again you might have those videos recorded already, but that's my suggested course of action.

Such a quietly pivotal moment for Luffy in this set. He went so far as to choose to walk away from hearing Nami's backstory before, has avoided hearing others' as well, choosing to act on his understanding of the moment and his cold reads of character personalities, and then in Amazon Lily is a captive audience to a backstory so traumatic one of the subjects is reduced to a screaming fit by reliving it, and is made to confront some of the world's darkest truths and the lingering consequences it has on the people who survived it. Luffy is no longer ignorant, willful or otherwise.

Everyone in the Sun Pirates has the mark, so nobody knows who was and who wasn't a slave, and i know that you're doing only two episodes per video, but i hope you react to episodes 418-421, those are anime canon and i think you should react to it. And as an advice, don't rush on haki, that would be explained in the future.
