I’d say FINALLY you get to the ep where you learned how evil doflamingo is, since you had been so curious about him. These eps just gave you the idea how bad he is but it will get crazier from now on

Yeah, this one's brutal. While you do have to remember that Crocodile also indirectly caused a lot of civil war in Alabasta by making the country fight itself, this definitely feels more personal and direct. Like, both villains are absolutely horrendous for what they did, but it stabs you through the heart a bit more when the king is crying his eyes out while being forced to kill the citizens he loves... like, they trusted him so much too. I guess it shows the worst wounds are the ones you don't expect.

Doffy the damn flamingo is the most terrifying villain in one piece easy S tier his writing is amazing and you havent even seen it all yet. First time watching Dressrosa riku's downfall was one hell of a coaster of emotions hell still is the story telling madlad Oda-Sensei

So the thing about Soldier-san being Rebecca's real father, that wasn't obvious to me when I first saw this so long ago. Yes he took care of her like a father, but I had thought that it was a similar situation to Bell-mere, the Navy soldier who took in Nami and her sister after they were orphaned and raised them as her own, that the tin soldier took in Rebecca after he failed to protect her mother. I thought that his guilt at rendering Rebecca an orphan through his failure was the thing that motivated him to raise her from then on out, and that perhaps he grew closer to her as an actual father as the years passed, which given Nami's backstory wouldn't be all that surprising. It didn't occur to me (back when I first watched it back then) that there was more to it until Soldier-san spelled it out in the episode shown here. Just as you don't have to be a mother to be a mom, as Bell-mere showed, so too do you not have to be a father to be a dad. It just turned out that Soldier-san happened to be both, even if Rebecca was unaware of that fact. Anyways I'm looking forward to the next video.
