I remember being caught up with the manga at the time, reading the chapter with Sabo and going fucking nuts. Then I turned the page after calming down, saw Koala and went crazy all over again. Wasn't expecting to see her again and the Fisher Tiger story with her is one of my favorites from One Piece.

It's indeed a terrifying power. The problem in the scenario you gave is that when she turns someone into a toy, literally everyone forgets that person ever existed, including her. If Doffy was temporarily turned into a toy, then he would be forgotten indefinitely including all his schemes and emotional connections. All the loyalty he has with his close-knit crew would be lost in an instant, further reinforcing how truly terrifying this power is.

also i dont think its sexist the whole jut one girl. i dont speak japaneese but its probably the case of having a world for child girl. so its more like its just one little girl how hard can it be. rather than its one adult woman trained in combat. and while they obviously are underestimating her given she works for doffy and every one of his crew wev seen is a beast i think thats where the confusion lies.

i mean the counter of it of course is to write a lot down also explaining how youll forget so that even if you dont remember you can at least see and understand the situation but if you dont know to do that and add in someone like vergo undercover its VERY easy to clear records. sugar really just has to do 1 little touch and anyone is forgotten and under her control sure they 100% used this properly for enemies but imagine if you go to fight someone and boom his 4 body guard toys transform and its 4 crazy strong people whose powers and abilities and strength you forgot about and were unable to prepare for so now your outmatched. there never is a reason to so we dont know how much control she has other than turn to toy and give a command like can she turn someone back at will can she do it at range who knows. can she turn herself. BUT its easily one of the scariest and most op powers in universe when mastered.

something i always thought that would be interesting is the hobby hobby fruit removes memories. like if doffy was losing a fight real bad or the whole government was after him. he could be temporarily turned into a toy and no one would be after them anymore. then escape and revert back. like the ability to globally alter peoples memories while also having like vergo in the navy to remove records so people cant be like who are these people we forgot. and all these connections really using it just to remove your enemies is really underutilizing the power.
