Zoro here was harsh but I would think this is the way he shows his care. Zoro is always being nonchalant for most thing happened around him and sleep over anyone's backstory. But for Sanji it is special he listened all along. When things involved Sanji he got all competitive and he could only show his care by pissing when he heard he was left almost equal to being kidnapped. He is somehow similar to Zeff, all harsh words but care. Sanji knows full well how to get along with this. So many fans got tricked they hate each other but they are buddy buddy. This is the way Oda describe his characters, from his actions and reactions to thing happened instead of telling what his characters are. Different persons can take it or interpret it differently with different personal background and context. And I like that. This is the way I interpret their relationship.
