Guys- I can explain. For this page I needed basically a barrage of dialogue while Boomer is processing everything and I figured hey wouldn't it be fun if the walking millennial stereotype goes on an SJW rant saying all this shit Boomer doesn't understand? He does have a degree in intersectional speciecism so it's not like it wasn't set up! I did something similar with the poggers page and I feel like it didn't go along super well that time, and I wrote this dialogue like 6 months ago way before I could gauge the reaction to that, but fuck it, I'm sticking with it.
Also that lemur can't catch a break.

I'm happy that the joke seems to have landed for most people but the purpose of that line (and the ones in the first panel here) is that I think characters in stories are more interesting the more flaws they have, and now that the cat's out of the bag and we know that Miles was actually not cheating on Karen, he would be kind of an idealized character if he didn't have any flaws or issues of his own. I know reading "poggers" kills a lot of boners and some people might now read the SJW rant and go "wow instant shit tier", but if Miles wasn't naive, immature and a little arrogant, he'd be essentially a gay dude version of a manic pixie dream girl: the perfect carefree guy that gets the protagonist out of a slump and teaches him to embrace life and his sexuality, and I think that's a little bit lame.

The poggers page was legendary in my opinion. I've seen people say it several times too since then in several variations of spelling.
