For context Boca Juniors is one of the two most popular football teams in Argentina and people like to shitpost about how loud and cringy its fans are. I don't really like football much but I do enjoy the shitposting.

That's an interesting name origin and fitting. As for the colors, that seems fitting in a "we just wanna make a team and play futbol but we need to pick colors for the application, I dunno, how about those over there" way.

Long story short, Buenos Aires is a port city located on the edge of the world's widest river (it looks like the Atlantic Coast on a map, that's how fucking wide it is). A smaller river passes through the city and flows into the bigger one, and the neighborhood located in the mouth of that smaller river is called 'La Boca', and that's where the team comes from. So yes it literally does mean mouth, but not for the reason you might think. Another fun fact, when they were choosing the team colors they half-assed it and said, fuck it, we'll go with the colors of the first flag we see arrive at the port (again, port city). First ship they saw was flying a Swedish flag.
