It wouldn't be the first time stuff in the side-comics ACTUALLY tie in to the full story. A lot of the times, these "side comics" are just stuff we don't get to see "on screen" but it doesn't make em non-canon.

Then after getting more electronics experience, an “e-ink” one that can either change daily, hourly, every few hours, and include the ability to plug into your computer to customize words.
