Perhaps Maeve trims it? Or maybe chest floof is a dominant trait, and Adira has a dominant and a recessive gene for chest floof/no chest floof? That would be the only genetically possible way for Maeve to not have floof even though her mother does if it’s a genetic trait. Or maybe you’re right and it’s like facial/bodily hair on people: the older you get the more you grow.

I'm pretty sure that's because Meave is trying to make Maddie push her boundaries. Maeve would probably be perfectly comfortable naked, so she's fine wearing whatever she wants without needing to worry about being "decent". Maddie, on the other hand, still needs to learn that it's okay to show a little skin or, in her case, fur.

So, does the chest-floof only grow in after snow-mews mature even more? The original sketch made me wonder this too (since her mother is so floofy), and I thought maybe it would just be corrected in the future, but here it is colored and Maeve still has no chest-floof.

What I don’t get is that Maeve is usually the less modest one between the two of them. But here she is wearing a one-piece and Maddie is wearing a two-piece. It’s just a bit odd is all. Still an adorably awesome image.
