Umm... the Celcius scale was drawn up by a physicist in the mostly autocratic hereditary Swedish Monarchy during the short-lived Swedish Empire where it's kings claimed rule by conquest over what's today Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Livonia, the northern parts of Poland, the Karelian ishtmus, St. Petersburg and most of the German baltic coastline, fully encircling the Baltic sea. It was later selected to be included as a common use paralell to the Kelvin scale in the system of international standard measurements by the French republic due to it's decimal base and the ease of standardisation and conversion that brings. TL:DR Joke fail, Error 404: Communism not found in 17th century monarchy.
