they probably could detect it or at the very least put 2 and 2 together by looking at a completely wasted person and one who isn't wasted but seem drunk with zero BAC

I wonder how the modern magic world would deal with magical drunkenness of other types of magically impaired-ness. Could you be fined for driving under influence with a zero BAC? Or can they detect that sort of magic stuff?

you got a good point on they could be better on shutting eachothers feeling off but not the connection to talk but it may not completely shutting feelings off so the influence of zen or natani being drunk could get the other drunk over tme but how long it needs depends on how well they can hold their ligour and how well the shut off the link

It kinda depends how connected they are at the time. In the early days of the mind link, I think if one was drunk, both would be drunk. These days, when they are better at shutting their minds off from each other, it probably wouldn’t affect the other.

yeah i can imagine that too but wouldn't natani also feel being drunk aswell? i'm sure if natani has given up she'll let him just drink and both could be drunk together with little money

Now all i can imagine is natani being clean while zens an alcoholic and natanis constantly trying to break him outta it, not to help zen, just so that he stops randomly getting drunk along with him
