Here's a head canon from what I'm seeing. The bars are going to be universal. They need to be dense steel for a one-size-fits-all gym, and likely the bar itself weighs ten kilograms. The extra "weight" looks to total up at five more kilos for both sides of the bar, assuming the plastic shell 100g weights and actual 2.5kg weights on the ends. Lighter weights are still good for practicing form, especially if you're strained from something else like an injury or just pure exhaustion. We just don't know the whole story as to whether Kat is burning out after a long session or if anything else happened outside the scene, so I won't judge without further information. Willow is clearly working on her own endurance. (Cardio is definitely the wrong word.) Music moves the soul, so it would make sense for her "lamplight" cell phone to be on the treadmill where it can't fall off and get flung across somewhere. As for her body, I like the suggestion someone threw out earlier about the Hollow Shell getting a massage. Personally I don't get it, as I would want to be present for something like that as opposed to mentally disconnected. Or, as someone else proposed, Hollow could just be folded up and shoved into a locker. Again, not enough information. Laura is a fox, making noises. No real explanation there, but speculation could be she's barking the pain out to help her push herself further. The alarm is due to her going too fox. In planet fitness there is a annoying lunk alarm if somebody drops weights after doing a deadlift, or makes loud noises when trying to lift (exhaling, grunting ect). This is to try and create a "inclusive" environment for the non gym regulars. Its a load of bs and just alienates people trying to get way better than just basic cardio.

If I'm calculating it correctly, on Kat's barbell there are 4 100 gram weights and two 50 gram weights so, Kat's lifting the equivalent of 1.1 pounds. Way to go, Kat! Woo-hoo! Keep up the good work and, maybe in 6 months, you'll actually be able to life 1 kg.
