I've always been that way ever since a few years after adolescence. I'm now im nearing the ability to be a genetics researcher in synbio interested in human specific regions and so I'm not in a dark place. But I am a realist, and I'm not that entertained by Humans that way or any way anymore and cannot really love a partner either if there are just a boring human being. Work is where things work and is what's most important. The current reality is that everything is broken in several known ways, so priority must be taken on figuring out what comes after humans. See the link, why i chose the synbio field? The fact is that current trends don't look good to say the least for humans...but that doesn't bother me becuase i cant control the inevitable. You see getting upset or not upset at somoething is a personal choice and if something offers no utilty its invisible. FYI the energy issues can alone be sufficient for billions to perish. So welcome to the age of consequences. May engineered animals rise into a interspecies union

Yeah well it's pretty impossible these these days to form that kind if friends. Its either work related interaction or just a frenzy of infatuation that lasts weeks at most from first sight and then nothing for years and years. Thats basically the totality of human interactions. There used to the days when that could happen with other humans but are long lost now, this is much better and prettier place to be. I'd happily be Trace in the present.
