I spent too long thinking "What are they worried about? They're both guys." Also, someone pointed out that Nat was spewing his drink in shock. I initially thought he was completely oblivious to the conversation around him and was just wolfing down his meal.

We may (or may not) have seen a glimpse of such a child way back in 2017's "Basitin Dinner": https://www.patreon.com/posts/basitin-dinner-14518866 The picture is clearly set some time in the future, after Natani's (and, presumably, Maeve's) passing. While it's not explicitly stated, I suspect that the child in the background was Natani's, born shortly before his death, and likely ages at a Basitin/Human pace. We can see that he (or she) is carrying a wolf plush that is wearing Natani's necklace. But hey, I could be wrong. It's just as likely that Maddie was the mother... but that kid looks like a nice blend of wolf and Basitin.
