Okay... basically, a will-o'-the-wisp is a spirit that wanders around dark forests in the form of a small flame, which lures mortals to their death... Wisp did this by instinct with the feline called Hollow... and immediately regretted it, so linked with her to bring her back to life. Now they live as a symbiont lifeform - but they can separate for short periods. (She is generally called Willow as a portmanteau of their names WIsp + hoLLOW)

Well, the black colored spots indicate her energy levels, allowing her to shapeshift, and use her 'magic' so I presume her arms and legs turning black indicate her absorbing mega amounts of energy. Makes me wonder if that would attract Momma Fey to investigate...
