I can only imagine how hot it must be, with 2 heavy-furred snow leopards snuggled up together while wearing heavy winter sweaters. There needs to be a sequel to this, all the heavy clothes unceremoniously dumped in a pile, with a sweating Adira and Maeve laying in the snow outside the photo studio, wearing only their fur.

The ones around here bring photographers in to take the pictures, they don't have studios in the store. If the lady wearing the sweater is a feline, are they still sweater puppies? Because Adira's are lovely.

In the main strip, which we usually consider canon, the technology level is comparable to early Renaissance in our world. The basic medieval technology, metal work, sailing ships and archery are highly refined but there are no innovations like steam power or firearms. Mark's Paetron drawings often stray into an alternative world where technology has advanced to our current level and many of the strip's main characters show up there as well. This alternative world contains several different storylines that often use the same characters. There is one where the main strip's story is a TV show with actors who portray the main characters in the strip. In that story, Trace is actually engaged to Laura. There is also the Modern Trio series of pictures with Kathrin, young Laura, and Willow being roommates. Maeve and Snepchat are a part of this modern alternative world.

In the olden Days, the customer really did have to stay still for minutes to hours on end barely moving, and yes. They're expensive. Hand-drawn took longer than early photography 📸, and early photography took longer than nowadays. So, things have improved dramatically in 150+ years since the Victorian Era, if not longer.
