i do wonder why some people like the rain like this but rain is a nice thing to have becouse of it is fairly soothing to hear the rain hit the ground and gives a decent excuse to stay indoors

If it's not from the rain, it's from the rivers and creeks she's panning for gold in. If I ever met her, I'd ask if she ever bought waders with her gold claims. And then I'd buy her dinner and a nice towel. And laundry soap, so she can wash the towel.

While I do significantly enjoy this sketch (and the background looks like it has great potential for another one of Tom’s masterpiece vista scenery if colored), I do still think her footpaws would be more accurately drawn with longer hand-like toes (similar to MrsNibbly), with the main pad under the ankle, as Raccoons are longer-toed plantigrades, not digitigrades like felids or canids. Probably too late to changer her design now though, it might’ve been better to have mentioned it in a previous sketch, it just hit critical mass on this one…

Tom has said in her first sketch that raccoon keidran do not exist in canon, unfortunately, but IMO the gold-panning in it was one example of her putting the raccoon washing instinct/trait to good use.

I'd be interested in seeing a rac character in the main story, if for no other reason than to see how they act. Do they have stereotypical rac traits? Do they even exist in the comic's lore?
