I wonder if these two will hit off with a discussion about different anatomical structures with something like that. Raine's the bookish type-I imagine she'd be fascinated by the ins and outs of Viper biology. (It could also give her some ideas for a few new fanfics....)

I'm going to utilize anthropology for my reasoning, as Raine (and anyone else raised in human-centric or basitin-centric cultures) will have an innate sense of shame if all is exposed. Since Raine is clothed, the snake probably figured, "When in Rome..."

i do like the snakes yellow colours with red cloth i do wonder why raine is so embarassed or worried about the snake woman i'm certain i wouldn't worry but i haven't met a snake person like her so i can't tell completely

The closest any snake comes to having hips are the spurs of some species of boa constrictors. She can do that hip shake anywhere between her neck and tail. Snakes evolved from earlier lizard-like species - they often have tiny, degenerate bones midway down their bodies that are the remains of their hips and legs. Since these "snakes" have shoulders and arms, it is totally believable that they might have vestigial hip bones that are far less atrophied than in "true" snakes.
