Normaly they would prey on mice, but if they manage to get a chicken or rabbit they are fed for days. So it seems to be worth the try, especially if the prey is kept in small cages … easy catch.

No, we had a bunch before and we had to get rid of them because of where we live and since then the rules have changed and we were able to get some new ones

I'm not so sure I'd call adult chickens "cute". The baby chicks, sure, but not the adults. Also, I've never quite understood why some people react to cuteness by saying "I could just eat (him/her/you/them) up" - in most cases, I would hope they don't mean that literally, but I'm not sure how to interpret it figuratively or metaphorically.
