You know how when an artist tries to draw something outside their usual style it usually comes out looking worse than someone who draws it regularly? Tom doesn't.

Unless we have Clovis as Bolas, then it would make sense to have Reni as Ugin, considering their battle in Reni's mindscape. Although that would leave Nora without a good representation in MTG, as I'm not sure there is a really other good character for her to inhabit. Although we might see something in the return to Tarkir that could fit, but I doubt it.

Nora as Nicol Bolas isn't just a banging choice, it's the obvious choice. She wouldn't make for a good Ugin, unless she was fighting against something that would be even worse than herself, both lore-wise and personality-wise. Reni would make for a terrible Ugin as she would have to want to cause harm to Bolas, so...

If we want to invoke more Hasbro properties, we can easily go to Magic: The Gathering. Planeswalkers in particular. Trace as Jace would be the obvious choice. Keith as Ajani would also be obvious. Although Keith as Garruk would be great too. Willow would definitely make for a good Kaya. And Nora as Bolas would be absolutely banging! Rose would also be amazing as Jaya Ballard

I never considered how cute ponies would be in your style, there's definitely something that feels just the slightest bit unusual, but I think it's just that you gave them like 3% more realistic proportions than most artists do; It definitely doesn't look bad, it's just in that tiny range where you can tell something's different but you can't tell what it is.

Willows mark is definitely her lantern and Kat's a heart shaped spot thats on her butt/hip in keirdan form. I don't think they are meant to tell us much about them as people but simply represent them well.
