I hear you! I love a very rare cooked steak, but as you said, too many risks are involved, and I almost died from food poisoning once. A week recovering in the hospital is not as fun as it sounds!😁

Isn't it more like there's simply 0 reason for us to eat it raw? We can cook it...which makes meat just...better. Sure it tastes better as well but that's probably just due to out evolution with cooked meat. If we never started to cook, our stomachs would probably be at least a bit more resistant to raw meat shenanigans today...as many animals are. But again, no reason not to cook it.

To be entirely fair, the only real reason humans don't eat raw meat is because we know it can carry diseases or parasites, it's not like we're physically incapable of it, just prefer not to due to knowledge of the risks

I loved raw meat and eggs as a kid, so I would be fine with this. Also there are plenty of roasts that are almost raw in the center.
