Can I just say that the "Baby Flora eating a whole turkey" idea reminded me of a story my mother told me? Back when she was in college, she had big fat orange tabby cat. One day she was cooking Thanksgiving dinner, just finished the pumpkin pie and set it out to cool, and had to run out to get something. When she came back, she found the pie crust licked completely clean and a VERY fat cat laying on the floor making the most pathetic meows. When she went to pick him up, the cat meowed in horror and tried to struggle away; jury's out on whether he knew he was in trouble or if he thought his belly might explode.
