The red eyes were set up as a Terminator-esque fake out that was subverted the very next page. But also still seems to signal danger, allure, or even love. Red is a very complicated colour sometimes. Lot of interpretations. I think it was an extremely deliberate artistic choice to match her ribbons. Blood red claws almost seem a literal 'she has blood on her hands' metaphor.

It is interesting the constant use of deep, blood red with Vanity. Not only is she laying on crimson red pillows and sheets, but her claws and even eyes are almost stained the color red. It'll be interesting to see where he takes this character.

One of the masks in the top left reminds me of the Nina Tucker and Alexander Chimera from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Also, because I overanalyse everything, one other point is the implied significance of her ribbons (other than "cute design"), since even here she's never seen without them. I sense a story there, whether it's a means of anchoring anything left of her identity, or something more complex. Which would make the decision to use one as a bandage vs. say cutting some cloth from Keiren's cloak very interesting... and for some bonus symbolism it's literally gift wrapped, not tied in a functional knot...
