Her mom is a scientist who dealt with breeding plants to be perfectly usable in a space station situation. She and her husband sorta took that mentality to other aspects of their lives. including deciding they were the perfect genetic match for one another. It's going to be a while before she breaks herself out of this habit, even though she means well. IF she were a player of Pokemon she'd be an obsessive EV trainer.

Oh my god, I'm dying! The matchmaker-mother at work is glorious. xD Though the WIP title makes me wonder and then ask: How does Alden...or at least, the United Species of Acirema, look at "purebred" species? Is that a big deal, or is it a fringe thing that the majority look down on? Somewhere inbetween?
