Dream Story log 1.
🕑 Added 2020-02-13 23:15:21 +0000 UTC(Sometimes, before I go to sleep, my mind will run a number of possible story scenarios in my head before I finally doze off. Sometimes I remember them and use them in future stories, but often I completely forget them moments after waking up. This is one such story idea I had while trying to go to sleep on my recliner last night.)
The cave was dark and damp. His heightened senses were picking up the most minute things, from the faint scent of mildew, to the constant sound of the water leak in the ceiling from the thunderstorm coming down outside. All of this extra information was driving Lucas mad. He huddled in the back corner of the cave, scratching at it’s walls with this oversized claws as he fought to maintain the shreds of his rational mind from being overcome by the feral desires of his Warwolf form. A form larger, more powerful, more feral, and more deadly than his normal, he had found himself stuck this way ever since their last battle with the Inzecks where he was gravely wounded. His wounds, thanks to the hulking form of the Warwolf had healed, but the form comes at a cost. The longer he stays in it, the more bestial he becomes, and he could not revert back to his base form. Could not, or did not want to.
His attention sharply turns. No sound betrays her presence on the ground as her paws do not even touch the ground, but the slight shift in the air currents, the scent of her body, and the smell of blood gives her away. Scarlet has returned, hovering over the ground as she approaches, using her power of levitation to make her journey into the depths of the cave a more swift one. His keen eyesight observes the vixen, slightly older than when he first met her, but still as impressively powerful as ever. She wears dirty cargo pants that come just to the base of her long fluffy tail and what appears to be a one piece, sleeveless, swimsuit. Her fur, wet from the outside rain, dirtied by blood. She carries with her a large Aldenian feral beast over her right shoulder as though it were a sack of laundry. She does not, however, approach alone. Behind her, a small male fox-wolf halfbreed follows behind her, cautiously. His food pads quietly moving across the cave’s ground with expert care to not create noise. Lucas is actually flashes an expression of surprise and is impressed by such a young cub being able to move so quietly.
Scarlet stops five yards from Lucas and drops the carcass of the large animal on the ground with a loud thud. Lucas pounces on the dead animal in a flash, ripping into the feral beast’s body with fangs and claw, tearing large chunks of flesh off and almost swallowing it whole. This gains Lucas a strong look of disapproval from Scarlet, who flashes a slight display of teeth and narrowed eyes, which actually makes Lucas pause, and back away, ears pressed back against his head. He takes a moment to swallow the last piece of meat he had in his mouth and give out, a sheepish “...Sorry. Thank you...” This acknowledgement of error is enough satisfy Scarelt’s disapproval, as she sets her footpads on the ground, shifting weighting her weight to the side with her right hand on her hips. “Better.” She looks back a the cub, who is still holding on to her tail and looking up at her with an inquisitive look. She nods to him and says, “Go. Eat with you father. Best to eat now while we have a breather. No telling when we’ll run into those Inzecks again.” The cub smiles and runs towards the carcass, and promptly sits down and sinks his teeth in, trying with difficulty to partake in tonight’s dinner.
Lucas looks down at the small cub, with concern. “Are you sure this is wise? My..my urges are growing more and more uncontrollable. My mind is getting more clouded by the day. I...I don’t want to hurt either one of you.” Scarlet walks over to them, slowly, with tail swaying behind her with a smirk on her face. “Pfft. Don’t worry about it. For one, he’s tough. Maybe as tough as you. And for two, you’re lucky you picked the right vixen to be around, because you can’t hurt me and chances are..” She says as she sits down next to them in front of the carcass, tail wrapping around his, “I’m more likely to hurt you if you even tried to do so to that cub.” He nods in agreement, knowing full well that she, while speaking in a light tone, meant every word of it and that she had enough strength to back up the boost. They three went back to focusing on their meal, content knowing that for tonight, they were together and out of immediate harms way. Tonight.

DUDE! This is some fantastic stuff! You managed to tell so much and yet so little all at once: I'm just swimming with enthusiasm and questions here. First off, awesome to see Lucas and Scarlet's relationship 'baring fruit', yet it also leaves me wondering what has become of Red or if maybe they formed a pack together (highly doubtful) and not to mention how high the stakes are: Inzecks on Aldan, the Alpha form getting stuck into this ticking timebomb of Hulk-like proportions, team is either split up or in hiding. I just can't wait to see if this ever comes to fruition in the gran scheme of things. I can't wait to read more logs like this in the future! :D
