I have a feeling I will be okay if it happens, but the disruption will be jarring for myself, and many others. At least I have that option, is how I see it. And I will say that Patreon does have a lot of features that SubStar doesn't. The freedom that SubStar offers offsets the loss of those features, but it'll be a downgrade of sorts.

Well actually in Japan 🇯🇵 they have strict laws about having tattoos on the body which something related of the Yakuza having those very detailed tattoos on their bodies. For those reasons you are banned from Public establishments such as public baths/onsens or public pools/water parks if you have any permanent tattoos.

Honestly, I'm fine with supporting you on either platform, there's nothing particularly special about Patreon as far as I can tell. I just hope enough people make the switch to let you keep creating if your Patreon does get shut down. .

The rules say something about spicy content is OK if it's animated. What ever happened to "the internet is for porn"? It says a lot about where we are as a society when "porn is legal, but..." I just don't understand it. If people came out and said, loudly, in the mainstream media, "Porn is not a good thing, it's legal, but you should try to quit," and they put the message out there in the open and frequently, that would be one thing, but the "it's just good fun, unless you're a guy, then it's just creepy, unless you're really trying to do something with this artistically, then you can't have any cultural significance or financial security" is just vapid. It's like the days when people with (visible) tattoos couldn't get a job. Really?

Not just YouTube even places like Porn Hub has strict guidelines like on certain things like playing adult games on their website especially the content the games have and may have to be censored.

Patreon's rules are essentially the same as before, but the sudden take downs of accounts is new. Usually you would get a warning, but nowadays some people don't even get that. Not sure what's going on, really...I would be much happier with being warned about any content I've made that is against TOS than having my account immediately destroyed... As for my YouTube, that was more my fault. If I had known my teasers for Patreon Deluxes was against their TOS, I would never have done them, but somehow they waited until I had dozens of videos with explicit material in them before reviewing my channel thoroughly. Oh well, live and learn XD
